Changed the plug. Just a cheap one from wicks at the moment, only place I could get to, but I'll get a better one asap. Run the machine and the plug stayed cold. So good stuff, cost a plug instead of a new washer.
Thanks for your help
Cheers, that's good to hear. I've changed the socket as it was showing heat damage. That plug is 13 years old as it's the one the washer came with so I'll stick a new one on.
My fiance noticed an horrible smell in the cupboard where the washer is plugged in. At the time it was off and everything was cold, put in another load and the smell got worse. When I had a look the plug was hot and I found the fuse as in the photo. The plug was hot, the socket is a bit...
Read the OP because you haven't.
He wants lengths of plastic pipe to make a frame to stop rabbits eating his veg. Where do fault protection and electricity come into it?
It's easy. If it was my kid, then I (plus his mum) draw the line. I'm reasonable, I wouldn't dictate what photos another reasonable person could have, especially a family member. But my kid is legally my responsibility and I decide. End of.
Pay the fitter to do the lot. If you supply it and there is a problem with what you bought either because it's wrong or it fails down the line then it's your problem. If he buys it then it will be the right stuff or if it breaks, he supplied it so he replaces it.

If you had to fit a stoptap for an elderly person with arthritis what would you fit? Be constructive rather than having a rant.
I know for sure that my gran would never be able to turn off a stop tap like I have no matter how accessible it is. All her taps have levers because she has no...
I got mine from here

But I looked at this place as well
Ransom Spares
I looked at espares as well. I think it was just down to who had them in stock and how fast delivery was. But you need to take the old ones out to be able to identify what one you need. Mine was 2...
How old is it? The motor bushes wore out on my zanusii washer after 10 years. Sounds the same as yours, the machine filled and emptied but didn't turn. It was a fairly easy DIY job to replace them, 2 bolts on each one and a couple of clip on wires.
