Well actually since I wrote this the boiler has turned off, so the problem is just that the pump stays on, which considering it’s joined in the same terminal as the boiler live doesn’t make sense.
I have installed Hive to our Y plan central heating system but the HW, pump and boiler seems to be on permanently.
I have attached a picture of the wiring centre. Could anyone help me trouble shoot please?
We have a cold header in the attic.
I have not used a HW off in my wiring, not sure if...
£150 was just the table, second hand.
From reading endless reviews I would agree. I think I am leaning towards buying a better quality router and a good table insert and making my own.
Its just for a hobby and to make some kitchen and cupboard doors around the house, so I wont have a paying...
Thanks all. I am hoping to run the floor about 40 degrees, but I guess only time will tell.
I did think about using a 3 port valve but the company who installed my UFH left me with a 2 port valve anyway so thought I might as well just by another and plumb it like s-plan.
I am currently connecting my UFH system to my combi boiler (Worcester Bosch 42CDI).
I will T off from the existing radiator flow and put in a 2 port motorised zone valve on the rad flow, will I need a 2 port zone valve on the UFH circuit?
I cant ever see a situation when my UFH will not be...
Has anyone got or have any experience with with the above router table?
I can't find any reviews and very little information about it I have seen a few for around the £150 mark.
I am looking at making some shaker kitchen doors to upgrade an existing kitchen.
I recently got some 18mm solid oak flooring from a reclamation yard for practice but I am struggling to get the motrice and tenons correct. I am hoping when I move to 22mm this will become easier.
If I plan to...
I had my underfloor heating and flow screed installed today and the company ordered 4 x 100m rolls of pipes and ended up using around 4 x 80m so I have 4 x 20m left over.
Is there anything else they can be used for, seems crazy to throw them away. I think they are 16mm so can't be used for...
Thank you for all your responses, I respect your experience and advice.
Before my extension started my house was completely rewired by a respectable company. To answer your question about why a ring circuit was chosen - because this is what was recommended to me by this company. They have...
Brilliant, thanks. The only place I cannot go horizontally is around the chimney breast as we have a wood burner so my plan is to chase upwards an go through the floor joists so I shouldn't need to derate these.
Absolutely, I plan to do the 'donkey work' and get a qualified electrician to sign...
I am planning to do the wiring for my new kitchen extension. All my power sockets will be low level and run of a new ring circuit. Is it best for the cables to run:
a) From the socket downwards, under the floor insulation on to the next socket,
b) Out of the socket horizontally, behind the...
Planning a new bathroom, can anyone see any issues with this waste water design?
I plan on using 50mm solvent weld pipe and can achieve the correct fall from each appliance to the soil pipe.
I already purchased the basin that came with a waste trap, I am not sure if it is anti-vac or not so...
Right, OK.
I am struggling to find anywhere to fit a positive head pump in. Cant fit under floorboards, cant fit at the base on the HW cylinder, freestanding bath so cannot hide behind a bath panel.
Could I fit a negative head pump in the loft? This would be on the same level as the cold...
Just as a quick sketch is this possible?
I would like to install a shower pump in my airing cupboard, due to space I cannot fit it below the cylinder, only on a shelf above. I would have 700mm of static head between the cold water storage lowest position and the pump. The shower head would be...
