The question may have been asked before but has it been answered? I can assure you that I have used the search function and sadly it does not answer my questions, so I have posted a topic for people to reply with helpful advice.
Maybe you could try answering my questions instead of advising...
I am after a little bit of advice regarding my bathroom refit. I will be completely gutting the room so have a nice blank canvas to work with. The room is 2m by 1.7m so fairly small and has standard floorboards where some have seen better days!
So first question is do I replace any badly...
Hi everyone,
I am looking to cap an old disused chimney to prevent drafts and the howl of a windy day.
The problem is the chimney is a louvre design with gaps around the sides so I assume the many caps I have seen advertised only work with solid chimneys.
Any ideas on how to cap mine...
It wouldn't even show up in a picture!! It's not even a trickle! I only found it by using a torch and when I wiped my finger over it u can c a tiny bit of water comes out! It's doesn't drip. It's just a very very small hole. I would say literally the size of a pin prick!!
So what are my chances of finding a sympathetic plumber who could wipe the pipe? Or is it something I could do myself?! Any tips? Also if worst came to the worst and I had to replace the lead pipe would that mean digging trenches in the garden? Sounds like alot of work!!
Yeah I was under the impression that soldering it was a no no! But if I can then that would be easier!! I suppose u gotta worry about getting it too hot! Lol
I would love to get rid of the lead pipe but it goes straight into the concrete floor and I would hate to imagine how they ran the pipe when they built this house! I can just imagine that digging up my whole kitchen floor would be such an awful job! Thanks for the advice! I was hoping there...
Hi everyone.
Thanks in advance for any help given.
I've noticed what I thought was condensation on my main water pipe but after closer inspection I've realised it has a tiny pinhole in it! It's hardly any water coming out but obviously I want to stop it! Is there a way to seal this hole...
Ok guys thanks for all your help so far. Ive downloaded the instructions for the oven an dhob we are looking at and here they are word for word!
OVEN:
230v - 50hz. Output rating MAX 3400 W
If the appliance is not connected to the mains with a plug, a multi-pole isolator switch (with at...
I'm thinking the 2 way CU option sounds the easiest! Although this whole thing about the oven needing a plug is confusing! Surely the manufacturers should give clearer guidelines!! Any other options for me guys? Apart from a gas oven!!
I've re checked the oven specs and it is 3.4kw and it says can be wired to a plug or wired directly to the main supply! But doesn't say which to do! Could I change the unswitched 13 amp socket for a switched 16amp fcu? Although I don't think that sounds right!!
