    Bathroom lighting layout and extractor

Thanks chaps. Presume I could fit a cover to the rose and then run a cable from that to a MF junction box? I have a mixed box of Wagos. Flex or flat for the fan or doesn't it matter? Currently flex from the rose to the lights. Yes. Was thinking about fitting smaller downlights. I do want...

    Bathroom lighting layout and extractor

Took a false T&G ceiling down and forgot to note where the 3 downlights were. False ceiling is to hide the coombed ceiling at the external wall. Gave pretty good light except over the sink for shaving, etc. All lights quite new. Binned the old R50 spots in the last couple of years. Existing...

Modular tool storage system for inside a wardrobe cupboard

Drawers are useful for small tools. Screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Do you have the drawers for the wardrobe? The bases may need reinforcing. Plastic boxes are useful. And keep kit dry if in a shed I have power tools in some. Also separate boxes for plumbing, electrical, small garden tools, etc...

    Loft insulation and boarding choices

I saw the Dial legs when I bought my genuine Loft Legs. Don't think they are as strong. Don't look it. No cutting to get the boards to fit the legs. Or to get them into the loft The B&Q loft boards are small enough, you could possibly miss a board when you come to obstacles. Each board 1.2M x...

    Loft insulation and boarding choices

You said 'No Loft Legs' on Screwfix forum :giggle: Seriously, Loft legs (Toolstation) and loft flooring packs (B&Q) for DIY. Easy to get the boards into the loft No cutting. Bit of pilot drilling and screwing You may find the condensation improves once insulation is in if it is poor now.

    Hedge vandalism?

I get this on occasion. No damage that I have noticed. I don't normally spot them until hedge cutting time. Most of our hedge borders a cul-de-sac of 6 houses. Not seen any since a family with a teenage lad moved out. Laziness? Better than dropping it on the path? Hiding beer cans from family...

    Smart TRVs

I have Drayton Wiser. Each smart TRV is it's own zone and has it's own timer. If you want two to come on at the same time, just set the same on/off times You can use an external thermostat to control multiple smart TRVs This would normally be used where you have multiple rads in one large room...

    Loft insulation and boarding choices

For ease of install have a look at loft flooring packs to go with the Loft Zone system. https://www.diy.com/departments/natural-chipboard-loft-panel-l-1-22m-w-0-33m-t-18mm-pack-of-3/1673191_BQ.prd Easy to get into the loft. No or very little cutting required. Someone doing the same here

Using a radios USB charging socket

I use A male to A male for a touchscreen my company supports. Used for touch data. Not very common. First time I had come across it in my many years in IT. https://www.cablesdirect.co.uk/usb-c495/usb2-0-c496/cables-c497/usb-2-0-type-a-m-to-type-a-m-data-cable-p6766

    Dell desktop - Intrusion switch

It logs if someone has opened the cover. More usual on business machines and servers where covers should not be removed by users.
