Just to keep this post current ... Having diagnosed the failing area to be the pump I prepared myself for the worse, however, my neighbour who's an electrician had a handy device that shows electric current in wires and found a bizarre break half way along the pump connection. Now repaired...

thanks Namsag, that's confirmed i've done it correct ... however, still no heating. I've now resorted bac to previous Randall 3060 and guess what, still no heating :O Could it be my Temperature sensor has given up the ghost at this inopportune moment?

ok, i've tried numerous configurations but still can't get the heating to kick-in. I've tried joining the yellow & brown and leaving external to the device .. no joy I've tried connecting the brown to the Live terminal, and the yellow to the CH off (terminal 2) ... no joy ... running out...

maybe the wrong terminology :? I've now found the yellow and brown wires connected to terminal 5 had no internal connection to the 3060 - terminal 3 & 5 are blank (just taken the back off the device) ... the yellow as far as i can determine is feeding from the Thermostat, and the brown...
