    Study lights flickering

Hi Looking for some assistance with my study lighting. * I've attached a diagram of the layout at the bottom of the thread. The problem started when the lights started to flicker, which then developed to virtually not being on at all - just random flickers of light. I pulled apart the...

Replacing a rad with a condensing system

all was going well, managed to get the rad off without any major catastrophes. However, when cutting the pipe to make way for the new rad (slightly different size) things got a little hairy. Upon cutting the bottom section of pipe the entire contents of what must of been the downstairs system...

Replacing a rad with a condensing system

I've recently upgraded my central heating to a condensing system and now embarking on a major decorating project - the main hallway, etc ... which will mean removing/replacing radiators. Problem un-screwing Siemens Extraklasse 1200 pump cap. Any recommendations for removing the cap? History: Machine spewed its guts all over the kitchen floor, so thought it time to give basic maintenance (empty drain over-flow), clear Pump cap. Managed to drain the system but can't get...

    Replacement for Randall 3060 ...

ok, now i'm stuck, still no Central Heating !! I've taken like for like connection from Randall 3060 to HW ST9400C according to previous posts, keeping the yellow and brown (stat off and pump live) connection isolated. The Hot water kicks the boiler into action, the Central Heating doesn't...

    Replacement for Randall 3060 ...

Just to keep this post current ... Having diagnosed the failing area to be the pump I prepared myself for the worse, however, my neighbour who's an electrician had a handy device that shows electric current in wires and found a bizarre break half way along the pump connection. Now repaired...

    Replacement for Randall 3060 ...

ok, i've tried numerous configurations but still can't get the heating to kick-in. I've tried joining the yellow & brown and leaving external to the device .. no joy I've tried connecting the brown to the Live terminal, and the yellow to the CH off (terminal 2) ... no joy ... running out...

    Replacement for Randall 3060 ...

maybe the wrong terminology :? I've now found the yellow and brown wires connected to terminal 5 had no internal connection to the 3060 - terminal 3 & 5 are blank (just taken the back off the device) ... the yellow as far as i can determine is feeding from the Thermostat, and the brown...
