I'd say all you really need is another sonoff with relay/volt free/dry contacts and a 12v power supply. No need for an alarm panel. Wire the sonoff to switch the bell trigger. Then use the sonoff app on your phone to turn the siren on or off.

I'm upgrading an old wired alarm system. It's time to do the smokes. The old system had traditional looking smoke detector wired to the panel. When triggered the panel would alarm and so would the smoke detector via a built in sounder. I've bought a selection of four-wire Texecom Exodus sensors...

Sorry I should have clarified - the group 4 unit was running on a different old panel, which has now been replaced with the new DSC panel.

Hi, I'm trying to set up a Texecom Odysey X3 siren on a DSC PowerSeries PC1832 panel. I can't work out the wiring from the panel to the siren. The DSC has just two bell outputs: Bell + Bell - The Texcom Odysey X3 has +12v Bell Tmp 0v Strb Please can someone explain how I should connect these...

Didn't think of that. Likely to cause an issue do you think? Is there an operating temp range for panels? It certainly is the most secure location to avoid tampering.

Thanks for the suggestion. I stumbled across the solution in another engineer's setting: preventing entry of user codes during entry delay - bizarre! Turned that one off and we're in business now.
