I have to secure a timber wall plate to a solid wall. Timber is 225x75 and I have m12 Steel threaded bar with washers and bolts. I have the raw plug chemical resin and just need to know how deep the hole in the wall would need to be to hold the large timber over a span of 3.1m.
I have an extension 3.1 m wide and 5 long. Rafters will span back to front flat roof.
Will a 3 m catnic lintel be sufficient with 300mm returns on both sides and the rest for a French door.
The flat roof will be on the front wall above lintel but it’s a single story.
I am doing an extension 5.5m long and 3 m wide. The roof has to span longways and joists are 300mm deep. I have to put a timber wall plate to the existing house wall and wanted to know what size bolts I need. I was thinking M12 200mm.
Any help with the size and spacings of the bolts would be...
