I've been thinking about it. Just I need to add this tri iso to achieve the u value for building regs so i have quite a lot of head room so I might counter batten it with 3x2 to give me a void of 75mm and find some down lights that will fit in that void.

i agree. I have mine at 15 deg C and my room temp at 20. When we have the cold snap my boiler whas on for about 2 weeks solid running at about 45 deg C but the house never felt cold.
