Wiring a shower to a generator

Solved it.... Ditch scary loads flying about completely... Get a water butt pump (I just said butt pump :D ), connect to shower... Put hot water in clean rubble bucket, turn pump on... Sorted! 8) Thanks for your replies guys! I was maybe being a bit overly ambitious in the first...

Wiring a shower to a generator

I think it could be KVA, it's coming on a flat bed truck and has to be taken off with the hiab.... there will be lighting, but I would imagine the shower will be mainly used in the morning anyway...

Wiring a shower to a generator

It's a gathering of people from another forum in the Lakes :) The shower is in good condition, and the generator will be a fairly newish top spec one as its coming from a good local plant hire company. I'm be digging a soak away for the grey water, so that's sorted, and i'm going to build...

Wiring a shower to a generator

I'm putting on a camping event this coming weekend in a fairly remote field , and I managed to get a hold of a free standing shower unit that was going to be thrown in a skip as a part of a renovation... It's a three sided steel affair with a 7.5k shower in it, and i'll be siting it in the...

    Changing heating system...

Thanks so much for that! :D my loft is all well insulated up :) I'm more thinking of a multifuel stove, as i've a decent supply of wood, I'd definately not go down the route of an open gas fire! Thanks again.. Mike :)

    Changing heating system...

I posted on here a long time back about the horrific cost of my LPG heating. Now I’ve had the cavity walls insulated, and have eventually seen a whole year cycle, it doesn’t seem to bad in comparison with friends running heating oil, or my parents place running on economy 7. The current...

    LPG Nightmare....

I did try shutting off one of the radiators in the spare room, as its a monster radiator, will easyly be 1200 wide if not wider... We'd gone out for a quick drink, then on return we found water coming down the wall in the room below as it was leaking out of the valve! I really don't know...

    LPG Nightmare....

Thanks so much for all the replies! This has really made me feel a bit better about what my options are! I'd like to think i could have a bulk tank fitted, but i'm told they have to be a certain distance away from buildings, and i really don't have the space for it to be far enough away...

    LPG Nightmare....

So is it just a fact that the LPG burns less efficient?

    LPG Nightmare....

Cheers for that, still seems lots to me! But i don't know :? I guess with the radiators already there, the cheepest move would be to go onto heating oil?

    LPG Nightmare....

I've recently bought my first house, which has LPG central heating, and is reasonably modern build at 1979 end trerrace. The LPG is something all new to me as i've only ever had electrical heating in anywhere i have lived... When we first moved in, i found the thought of LPG fairly scary, so...
