hi guys..i wish to purchase a 9.5kw electric shower and replace my 8.5kw electric shower...the current cable size is 10square twin and earth and its connected into a 40amp rcbo at my mcb board..is it safe to just swap the showers or will i have to change the cable size and rcbo size?

hi,okay so i added up the total wattage of 7 energy saver 60watt bulbs and the 5 new cfl bulbs which are rated at 11watts each so added them together and i get 475watt and that divided by 220v is 2amps...am i correct in saying that im well under the fuse rating?

hi,im thinking about adding 5 outside spotlights to my house..well getting an electrician to add them...the problem is,i dont have room on my cartridge fuse board...however,could i add to an existing 15amp fuse which has 7 lights already on it?isnt there a way/formula of working out how many...

hello....to calculate the expected load,would i just add the amount of amps that the appliances use and see if its less that the protective device for the circuit to be safe and to prevent tripping?? :?

i have done a fair bit of research to be honest.i do alot of DIY and it bugs me when i dont have a full understanding of something :lol:

would it depend on the amount of amps that the appliance draws that determines the amount of sockets?? let just say hypothetically that i have two appliances that need 10amps to operate...would this mean that i could only have two socket as they are plugged into a 20amp circuit?? :?

How many sockets can i put on a ring and a radial circuit,is there a limit?would it depend on how many appliances that are plugged into the socket circuit and how many amps the appliances draw from the supply?

thanks spark123 i cant understand amps...let me ask one more probably naive question...if the amperage of my motor for the pump in the central heatral heating system is more than the mcb protecting it,does this mean that it is safe to operate as it wont be drawing full current or does it need...
