    Whats the foam tape I saw on a site recently?

    On a recent job I saw some dense grey foam tape/sheet being used in the cavities around door openings. Thing is it'd be really useful for tool trays and bags. Can anyone tell me what its called? Also out of curiosity whats it for? I don't know if it was being used correctly where I saw it...

    coded deadlock? Mum locks door and leaves key in

    My mum continually deadlocks the door and leaves the key in the lock which has resulted in neighbours having to break in. Sadly telling her not to hasn't changed things! (parents eh?     Yes those. Can't tell if its aluminium anodised to look like s/steel or is actually stainless steel. If the former its a close match to s/s fittings so I guess a stainless steel product would be the one to go for.

    its a repair and under a floor running between joists . There's plenty of slack in the cable ends so i se no reason why it should come under any abnorma stress.

    grrr just got to screwfix in time! to get some blue crimps when applying shrink tubes do you follow the colour of te wires or the colour of the crimps? Or do you just shrink wrap the whole lot?
