thanks for the reply Chris - I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway, took the pipe off last night and it came off far easier than expected. The pipe was completely plugged with years of lint and tissue build up.

Hope you can help a nervous DIYer! washing machine draining pipe must be blocked somewhere between the standpipe and the drain - it's overflowing everytime machine discharges water. Am I ok to yank at the pipe out the house until it comes off the metal connection thats been put thru the wall...

Hello looking to cover up bare floor boards with some laminate, but does anyone have advise regarding which underlay is best to use to keep the cold out. I have seen the polystyrene + foil type at Homebase or the compressed fabric tiles at Wickes + B&Q many thanks

hello I am about to get a few quotes to replace a rusty man hole cover in the garden, can anyone advise what a fair price to do this will be? The cover is situated within the pathway, so I guess it will need drilling out? many thanks!

It's leaking from a silver pipe underneath the bolier, so i guess that is the valve you mention. i have had my girlfriend turn the black tap on the pipe (closing it i guess?) and she tells me it is only leaking from that point now. pressure is falling down to 1.0 when the heating is...
