Double oven: fan oven tripping fuse

I think this is beyond my skillset. I've looked inside the back panel and can't see anything obviously burned out or exposed. I've taken the element off and fitted it again, in case I'd done that badly, but the same - the cooker runs for a few seconds, bit of a faint smell, then trips the...

Double oven: fan oven tripping fuse

Well, I've fitted a new element today, but there is no difference. Can still use the top oven/grill, but even the fan (with no heat) will trip the RCD after a few seconds. I took the oven out to have a look behind. It was dusty, so I've vacuumed it clean, particulary over the vents, but no...

All of the electrics so I have to reset the RCD (having switched the appliance off).

Double oven: fan oven tripping fuse

Hello all and thanks in advance for any advice: I have an Electrolux double oven (Electrolux EOU43003). I can use the top oven fine, but when I put the fan oven on, it trips the fuse. It starts up and the fan gets going, but after about a second or two, it cuts out and the switch goes on the...

Soil pipe leaking out the side when I flush

I've had the house for six years. This has only started happening recently and it's not caused problems before. It's not recently fitted or changed.

Soil pipe leaking out the side when I flush

Hello I'd be really grateful for any advice. When we flush our top (loft) floor toilet, we get water and toilet roll shreds sprayed all over the offshot kitchen roof, tracking along the soil pipes and into the guttering (and some onto the path above the main door to the house!). I've not seen...

    Replacing a shower valve.

I'm all confidence, but don't know a great deal about plumbing. I was hoping someone would say "Turn the water off, drain the shower, unscrew those nuts, take the old one off and screw the new one on. Turn the water back on". Is there a lot more to it than that!? I'm now wondering whether to...

    Replacing a shower valve.

Thanks for the advice. If anyone can tell me whether the Grohe one is likely to be any good, and whether it'd be easy to fit myself, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

    Replacing a shower valve.

Just to say: the pressure gauge on the combi boiler itself is 1 bar when the hot water is on. I've no idea whether that's indicative of the water pressure in our system.

    Replacing a shower valve.

I currently have a Triton Cassini exposed thermostatic mixer shower on the first floor. We have a combi boiler in the kitchen and a new mixer shower in the attic floor. The first floor shower runs fine in the summer but is not going to be hot enough for the coming months' weather. I...

    Kitchen cabinets resting on tiles

Hello. I've no real way of knowing. Just that the Como range is still on sale. Interesting that it's an older way of fixing them! Any thoughts on whether the tiles had been bearing any load? Thanks.

    Kitchen cabinets resting on tiles

Thanks for any help on this. We've moved into a house which has a relatively new fitted kitchen. It is a Homebase Como, if that means anything to anyone. I don't have receipts or warranties and I don't know if Homebase's fitters even fitted it. The end wall-unit was really sagging down...
