Eventually managed to drill the 4 hole required to screw frame to first wall. I actually managed to get a really good hold with the plugs and screws. So by the time its all assembled, screwed and sealed I hope all will be well. I have read that I should only seal the frame on the outside of...

    Help installing new shower enclose

Thanks John, I'm still a little worried as plugs will be 15 mm from end of tile and end of aqua panel. Is it not worth a few dots of grip fill along the full length of the chrome channel to spread any forces, or am I worrying too much. Howard

All the other joist ends look like new, so I hope it was just down to an area of water ingress. I have cut the joist...

I intend to do it in plastic, next year. It's a 4 bed detached so even DIY its a good 5-600 pound for materials. I've just come down from I day up on the roof. Took much longer than first expected. Replace about 3m of fascia and soffit. All joist ends ok bar one. A touch of woodworm! Cut it back...

    Materials for rotten fascia board

Need some advice. About to replace a couple of rotten fascia boards. Current boards are 170 x 20 and I can't seem to find any boards this width. Can't stretch to full upvc replacement at the moment. I was wondering whether to use WBP ply and cut to appropriate width, but was a bit worried that...
