Hi All
We recently had an unvented cylinder fitted. Everything seemed to be working fine but we have recently noticed that If the water is on then the heating won't come on until the water is finished. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance for any info!
All the old tiles are now off and replaced with new ones. It's just that I don't remember seeing any felt or membrane and want to put my mind at rest now but can't see how to check.
The right hand bit is slightly raised - that's original and matches next door
Thanks for the reply. The tiles on the right are the old ones coming off. There's no architect but I'll try asking the builders and see what they say. Thanks
hi. We’re coming to the end of a loft conversion and it’s just occurred to me that I didn’t notice if the builders used felt under the new roof tiles. Looking back through my photos I have this which shows the insulation but no felt or battens. How can I check? Am I being ridiculous?!
hi All
We had a new cylinder fitted yesterday. A really loud noise started this morning when I ran a bath. The noise only stopped when we switched the boiler off at the wall.
Any ideas if this is normal? If not what the problem is? I have a video of the noise but can't work out how to upload...
Thanks for the replies. Double checking the email from the builder it says pressurise not repressurise. So 450 makes a bit more sense for some actual work rather than just topping up the system with water.
As there's an F&E tank in the loft which presumably can't stay there for the conversion...
Hi, we're paying our builders to put in a megaflow as part of a loft conversion (at what we thought was a reasonable price).
They have now said that as part of this they need to re-pressurise the central heating system at a price of £450. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Any thoughts?
Hello, family bathroom on 2st floor needs a fan fitting. Thing is there is another bathroom on top, added as part of the loft conversion. Is the fan still doable?
