I have a room stat and a lifestyle LP241 control. On the tank end there are 2 divertor valves for hot water and heating.
Agile - that is a great idea - at least I can eliminate the pump overrun problem!

I still have an overheat problem on my Potterton statesman oil boiler - where the overheat red light keeps coming on every 3-4 hours. I think it may be a problem with the Wilo Gold 60 pump (either being defective or no powerful enough). Could this be correct? Or could it be due to it having no...
We have recently had our potterton oil boiler serviced and there is now a strong smell of either oil or oil fumes. This wasn't there before the service.
Any ideas why?

I have a Potterton oil boiler that goes onto overheat every few hours. I can't understand why.... however I think it may be due to the pump not circulating the water - I have recently moved the boiler and added about 5m of pipes to do so. The clues are....

For the past few months our potterton oil boiler has gone onto overheat every few hours. We have turned the thermostat on the boiler down but it has no impact.
If anybody has got any advice on what we should now try that would be much appreciated.
