Yeah...i was thinking I might just have to dummy run with boards from chimney breast to opposite wall, juggle it so it's even both sides and then see if it leaves me a decent width for the 1st board on the threshold. We all know somewhere there is going to be a pain in the arris piece to cut

Yeah...its working fine now.
I've put the live that went to the old sw terminal to the live on light fitting and have put the other live from the ceiling wiring into a single block terminal. Its working fine now thanks.

Not long been in a new property and I need to remove a rad to have the wall behind skimmed.
Ive honestly never took one off before. Whats the easiest way? The central heating system is run by a Ferroli combi. Would I need to turn this completely off?

Yeah...i have put both the reds into the live terminal on the block in the new light fitting.
All I need do then is put the red switch wire into the live terminal and just blank off the other red live wire? Soz to go over it again but I'm not to fond of...
