Found it the leak. One of the plastic pipes rad pipes under the boards has come away. The plumber going to fix it in the morning. Least know what it is now!

Many thanks for the reply There is no water coming out of the pipe. We think it could be a leak in the front room under the boards. A strange noise seems to be coming from there, but stops when the loop is shut off. Going to get the boards up to have a look for a leak.

Hi I have this syphon in my toilet it was fitted in 1999. Does anyone know if the above has a internal overflow? On the websites it says it has a internal overflow but these models have a blue top? Where is the internal overflow on the syphon?

many thanks for the replies. This switch sorted now, all working ok. The lights now work spearately. However the lounge switch is 2 way & having a problem with the oher switch. I have made a separate post on this as the other swtich doesn;t control the lounge light.
