    Gas Hob Connector

I'd say about £80 Kent way, maybe plus vat dependant on the business.

    Gas Hob Connector

It's not as easy as just fitting the hob and away you go. You need to know if the system has any leaks before and after any work is carried out so you know if the new hob is faulty, you need to make sure the hob has the correct supply of gas and isn't taking any pressure away from other gas...

    Gas Hob Connector

And 3) you really really aren't competent to work on gas. Don't believe the interweb, it lies.

    No flow through rads

Are you a master of quantum physics as well as central heating then?

    Gas Hob Connector

Seriously now, I was taking the pi$$. You need to get an RGI in to do this, 1) because you aren't competent to work on gas and 2) because you aren't competent to work on gas.

    Gas Hob Connector

Yeah, that's an easy one. It's a downwards facing 17 and 1 8th copper to iron female. Make sure you get a downwards facing male to match else you won't be able to fit the hob yourself and will have to call an RGI.

+1 for balancing and putting a 15/60 grundfos. There's a start for you, you should see a noticeable difference in the heat to the furthest rads.

    Pricing/Charges etc

Ironnaz are you another short course plumber and 'gas fitter' who has left a job in IT to seek the £100k/year salary most plumbers are apparently on by any chance? I only ask because if you had infact done an apprenticeship from an early age a bit of faeces round a toilet bowl wouldn't bother...

nearly puncturing a water or gas pipe

I doubt you'll have very many problems with that considering it's 22mm. Worse case you would have gone through the pipe and would need to get it repaired. Good shout taking the board up next to it though incase the nail was plugging the hole.

nearly puncturing a water or gas pipe

Not aware of any specific regs, only best practice to repair any damage. There could be a problem with pressure loss to a gas appliance if the cross sectional area is reduced yeah. When it comes to a water pipe, if it's central heating it could cause a sort of bottle neck where debris could...

nearly puncturing a water or gas pipe

What should a gas fitter do if they nick an insulated cable with a hand saw? The responsible answer would be to get the relevant trade to inspect it.

nearly puncturing a water or gas pipe

Oh dear  sparkys and their hammers. I'm guessing your talking about a gas pipe? Just don't turn any lights or sockets on or off or light a cigarette and open up some windows and it should be fine.... or call a gas fitter to take a look

    House too long

How long have you noticed this problem, since you moved into the property or has it gradually got worse? What size is the pump and has it been replaced recently? What speed is the pump set to? How hot to the touch would you say the radiators are closest to the heat source? Is there...

Looking to start up on my own?

OP- I'm 25 and started up on my own nearly two years ago, 5 months after buying my first property. I started out with a cheap van and have just upgraded to a sign written Transit. I have found that if your honest with people they will trust you, if I don't think I can do a job I recommend...
