I'm no DIY expert but I would lightly sand around ther affected are and then feather in (lightly brush) some stain block paint that takes moisture and stops any further algae or staining from the damp and the when dry paint back over with the same paint as your ceiling to cover.

I am about to tile my shower room but the main back wall is uneven on the bottom left running down to the shower tray and runs in leaving an gap. (It is an 1870s cottage). How am I best levelling the wall here to seal with silicone then tile and silicone again?

What's best to Seal a rough sandstone and exposed brickwork fireplace with out dulling the sandstone. Please see pics for a better idea :-)

The leak is apparent even when the boiler is switched off, it is coming from the bottom right hand corner. It's difficult for me to describe as i am in Germany working and a tenant at the house has given me the information. Looks like i'm gonna av to just spend £179 to get it fixed :cry:
