Just make it 50mm higher at the front. Nobody is measuring it with that level of accuracy.

From a legal perspective the position of the house makes no difference. It does mean the neighbour is less likely to complain. No one from the council will be inspecting it unless they receive a complaint. If you have a good relationship with your neighbour I'd just crack on.

If it is below 2.5m and you aren't in a special location (eg national park, listed building curtilage, conservation area, some new build estates, etc) then you shouldn't need planning. It will need building regs approval as it is made of combustible materials, close to a boundary and bigger...

Maybe a couple of big potted plants. Put them in round tubs. You can get them from the garden centre with a couple of handles. You can tilt them over slightly then sort of wheel then away, or drag them. Should be enough to deter someone, but you can move them if needed.

Plastic spacers will be fine. I'd try and use something solid, rather than the ribbed u shaped spacers. Cut up some sheet material.

We used to get ours from Llandaff Laminates in Cardiff. I suspect there are similar dealers all over.

There's a pretty healthy market out there for free or cheap materials. Someone will take it. It just depends how easy that is. You might get someone to come and dig it, bringing their own bags/tubs. It will go quicker and easier if you bag it up.

This is the act of a cowboy builder. You are only at the digging holes stage. What's he going to be messing up once it gets to the trickier stages? I'd be concerned.

The panels are great. Ours are a waterproof MDF based material and easy to cut. I used a corner trim they slotted into and some special trims for the bottom that overlap the tray. Much better than tiles. Easy to clean, too. Can't see me ever tiling a shower again.

MDF is pretty stable so it should be good. Regular MDF will warp if it gets damp. I'd use MR MDF for anything in the kitchen, in fact I use it for any job instead of regular MDF as it cuts much better and isn't as soft.

Flash band works ok. Use the primer to get it to stick. Not a proper job but it'll keep the water out for a few more years.

"Why would you want to insulate a shed?" Why insulate any building. It keeps it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. I've insulated mine and it's much better for it.

When you buy a car it comes with 4 (or 5) second hand wheels with second hand tyres unless you buy a brand new car with zero miles. Always worth a good inspection but I wouldn't automatically write it off
