It was connected to an old neon tube light. Unfortunately it fell and the cables came out before I took the photo. There were two sets of wires going to two different parts of the tube. I'm aiming to replace the neon tube with a led strip.

Yes. I was not happy with it. I'm thinking a ceiling rose junction box or J501 it will be attached to the exposed wooden beam and does not have to be concealed. Thanks.
