    Rechargeable Garage Lighting

It's not really a work light I'm after, or external security lights. It's for internal. Short periods of time - 20 mins max. Hence my thinking of rechargeable led rather than battery hooked up to wiring/solar etc.

    Rechargeable Garage Lighting

Probably 15-20 mins at a time. The problem we found with the solar that was there previously is that it never got bright enough outside to charge it. The lights went off after 30 seconds.

    Rechargeable Garage Lighting

I'm just lazy and wanted a simple fix. The guy that lived here before had a similar set-up to what you mention but it was beyond it's life so I got rid. I do still have the strip lights but have to power them off the world's longest extension cable :)

    Rechargeable Garage Lighting

Hi, We have a detached garage. No electric available. I want to install some ceiling lights. In my son's bedroom we have some rechargeable small strip lights under his bookcase. I wondered if there was anything anyone had come across that is similar but on a bigger scale for use in places such...

    Damaged wooden window repair

Hi, I'm trying to repair a wooden sash window in order to refit new catches. The wood has been damaged over the years before we moved in due to condensation which we have now remedied. What's the best way to fix the wood so it is strong enough to then screw new catches into? Pic attached...

    Pointing inaccessible stone walls

see pics below. gaps are quite small so trowel won't easily go in.

    Pointing inaccessible stone walls

No it's an internal wall but as mentioned the gaps aren't easily accesible with a trowel as the stones aren't equally spaced or even.

    Pointing inaccessible stone walls

Hi, I need to point certain stones within our chimney breast walls in the loft to try and cut down on drafts as I use it as an office. The areas which need pointing are very inaccessible gaps between stones. What's the best way to point them? (mortar gun?!) and with what? (given the walls are...

    newbie diyer..help...central heating leak

Ok, so I know very little about DIY but having removed a radiator in our second bedroom to decorate (all went well) I felt suitably confident to do the same in the 3rd bedroom. The radiator has been removed now for a few days. The boiler keeps losing pressure and there is a leak from the nut...
