As it has no baring on my question i was not expecting such a pedantic reply as to the OV! As for just trying it, it would be stupid to assume something electrical would just work without coming up with some facts first. Surely and decent plumber would have seen this set up before and would know...
Sorry haven't worded the question well. I have read alot about "backfeed" and that i should convert to s plan system otherwise when ufh calls for heat it will also call at the mid position.
The system isn't OV by the way. just had wrong diagram.
My plumber has added ufh to my small extension and having done some research before hand was wondering whether this would work, in terms of controlling ufh seperate from ch. the ufh has its own room stat and my controller is 3 channel. have attached a sketch of how he did it.
I hope you can all...
I have recently had a friend install UFH to an extension i built. I am now in the process of running the necessary cable for the wiring and have stumbled accross a problem that seems fairly common on these forums.
I currently have an open vented Y plan system. The plumber has put a 2 port...
I want to put underfloor heating in my extension (lounge) it will be roughly 25sqm. I have been quoted £475 for a speedfit pack and £980 for polypipe. The plumbers merchant said they never sell speedfit packs cause all the plumbers go for polypipe. My dilema is i am not rich and something half...
I have an old painted pebble dashed wall that is now an internal wall after an extension. Not really wanting to go down the "dot n dab" route can i pva, scratch coat with sand and cement give it another coat then plaster? or would bonding give a better key? Last resort is to chip off really...
Having done some research i'd be stupid not to just go down the beam and block route. Can I punch pockets into the existing house to take the beams? or shall i expose the existing footing and build up off that?
I have normal strip foundations. He Said to sit steel mesh on the inside skin and either break pockets into the existing house or expose footing and build up to sit on. I don't see how its suspended. Should i have shuttering underneath or just the normal hardcore and dpm.
I've taken on a small project of a single storey extension. I Have a little knowledge of the basics but building control have told me i need a reinforced suspended concrete slab of 200mm depth. Do I just sit steel mesh on the internal skin of blockwork?
