What will happen if I just take out the battery completely?

Hi. Can anyone help me please? My mums alarm keeps beeping at the moment and we have to put the code in, I believe it’s because the battery is low as it displays bat critical 100 after we put the code in. Can I disable the alarm to stop it doing this until we get round to replacing the battery...

do you think if i take the battery out, cut the mains power, then put the battery back, that will reset the system?

nothing on the main box other than the model number, i checked the inside of the panel too.

I have a Honeywell CP038 which is currently displaying Call Engineer - reset required. I have user and manager access codes, not an engineer one. I have tried 112233 which from looking on the internet i thought was the default engineer passcode, but no luck. Does anyone know how i can clear this...

Thank you so much. I will go in search of the box, I suspect its in the loft as i checked the cupboards and garage and could not find anything. The alarm was in the house when we moved in 2 years ago, so no idea when it was last changed. Thanks again, much appreciated :)
