Hi
I have been running it on high and working perfectly well for a year or so. The reason I changed the thermocouple this week was exactly that - the pilot light wouldnt light, nothing to do with the original fault and this fixed the pilot light and operation of the gas valve I guess.
Off...
Hi
the picture is correct for the a-b jobby
the pump wires run to the junction box
I checked the wiring with my neighbours and it checked out the same - however lots of the same colours - neutrals I guess. This was a year or two so cant quite remember when this started. Just changed the...
Again thanks
thermostat on wall - yes
used to put it on low if heating required in summer evening.
still lost - I thought that the cylinder stat would supply 60 degree water due to stat on tank in hot water only mode irrespective of the high / low switch? is that correct?
replaced...
Hi and thanks
the number - 41 789 53 15/30b
pump next to boiler
long story -
zone valve not shutting off every now and then
changed and as above junction box / pump - water ran down onto this.
turned electric on and tripping
isolated the pump - all ok
changed pump - winding smell
all...
Hi
What temp should this be set at?
Reason for question is that my myson apollo pump works ok on high, but switch the high low switch to low and it runs all the time, even if the boiler hasnt fired up.
I think it is currently set at 60.
someone said that the low on the high low switch...
Hi
after some work on my pump and zone valve - on low the pump continually runs all the time. On high it works fine. If I turn the stat on the cylinder down a little then the pump will go on / off with my adjusting this.
could it be that the cylinder stat is too high and so calls the pump to...
Hi
Apollo myson high low switch on boiler - anyone tell me what temp these operate at / switch.
I take it each side is connected to a stat, but how does the control work - eg it controls the pump running?
I follow you - the stat on the cylinder should be set at what temp ?
That might make sense as i woke up in the night with just the sound of the pump running, not the boiler firing up.
I think I had the same thing when the pilot light went out?
The high / low stat - are fixed I take it...
Hi
how is the high low setting controlled on my boiler?
long story but got water on the pump that blew it. replaced and if set to high the central heating and hot water works all ok. If set to low on hot water - the pump runs all the time.
If I go to the clylinder strap stat and turn this...
Hi dave
I turned off the valves to change the motorised valve and pump. (one near port A, port B, top and bottom of the pump, and one that goes from the bottom of my yank to mid way between pump and motorised valve. All of these have been turned back on - I take it that this is correct...
ooooohh those rules - those rules - very important to you aren't they - why did a picture of Alan partridge spring to mind. If you honestly couldn't see that your initial response was offensive then you sir are an arse - but you know that don't you.........
Off to mr moderator to complain...
when fitting, I isolated everything via hand turned valves(sorry off night shift - cant think of correct terms)
therefore turned off valve above and below pump
from the motorised valve -
left going to top of tank
right going down below floor boards (boiler?)
and here may be a problem...
Hi dave
How does it work?
Thinking about it, it is open circuit when cold and when the water heats up it must close supplying the pump - in a way?
Is this correct?
Thanks
