    Slow draining Basin

I've just fitted a new 'bowl' type basin (i.e. with no overflow) and a chrome bottle trap (as under the basin is exposed I wanted it to look nice). Connected everything ok but the basin is very slow draining. Could this be because of the bottle trap? Should I replace with an S-trap? Or...

    Installing an Extractor fan

2 words: Bad neighbours. I'd have to go onto my downstairs neighbours' 'half' of the back yard to put a ladder up to where the vent comes out and they won't let me(!).

    Installing an Extractor fan

    Disconnecting an Electric Shower

Once I've disconnected the electric cable and made safe how do I disconnect the water supply to the defunct shower unit so I can remove it? How do I seal the pipes securely? (The wall where the shower unit was located is going to be plasterboarded so the pipes will be hidden.) Thanks

    Disconnecting an Electric Shower

I have an old (and not working!) electric shower which I'm replacing with a bath/shower mixer so I just want to disconnect the old defunct shower. How do I do this safely? I'll need to disconnect the water and the electric supply so I'm not sure if I should be posting in a plumbing forum too...
