Thanks, have tried every avenue but it seems that Fiat have a coding system that is complex and non of the localjavascript:emoticon(':cry:') or national "Key rescue" firms offer a coding service. Tried here as a last resort, guess Fiat will have another reluctant customer...£250!!!
Has anyone got a contact for replacing a lost fiat hymer motorhome key? all of the usual sources, autolock etc say that only fiat can do this job of recoding. I can't believe that the codes are not available somewhere and wondered if anyone on this forum might know of anyone who performs this...

I do drive a bit "gently" anyway so perhaps thats why? I did check out the Ford Thermostat and it was perfectly OK!! Anybody want a good second hand original fit thermostat cheap!!!! Think I'll live with it, the car returns nearly 50 to the gallon overall. Thanks for your help...
I have tried replacing the thermostat and have checked for airlocks, made sure the coolant is properly circulating. I have no leaks and the engine behaves impeccably. However for all my efforts the motor still takes an age to get to full temperature and the readings with the new gates thermostat...
