I'm about to fit this McAlpine combined bath waste/trap, I'm currently waiting for the extension kit to arrive as I need this to fit my bath: https://mcalpineplumbing.com/traps/bath-traps/top-access-bath-trap-with-removable-chrome-plated-clicker-waste/
But I wanted to make sure that I'm fitting...
I need to replace the waste for my bath, I think I replaced the old one not that long ago but its rusting and falling apart.
I seem to recall that the last time I replaced this the seal between the bath and waste was a pain to fit without any leaks, the bath isn't new so doesn't have a nice...
We're in the middle of a kitchen refurb, LVT flooring arrived this week and kitchen cabinets coming next week.
My partner and I are in disagreement about having the kitchen cabinets sitting on top of the flooring, I'm against the idea as it explicitly states the LVT is a floating floor that...
I'm currently going through a kitchen refit and I'm looking at switches/sockets that the electrician will install.
I remember in my old flat I had a grid with switches for all the appliances, I also seem to remember that each appliance also had a fuse.
Most of the grid switches I've seen just...
So just had a look at the old boiler, in addition to the Netatmo there is a Drayton Digistat SCR and a Honeywell ST9100S that we had connected, I've never touched them since I moved in.
The Honeywell was wired into the mains and the Digistat, the Digistat was then wired to the 230V terminal in...
Definitely makes sense, at the moment I'm thinking we can just use our existing Netatmo controller, then just have the combi boiler set for hot water all the time instead of on a timer.
The only confusion I have is why there's another controller on the old boiler, I'll check tonight
Opentherm is from the Netatmo website.
I'm not considering any boiler at the moment, the Netatmo controller would have helped determine that.
Boiler needs to be changed as we're building an extension with ufh and it isn't powerful enough
You make a good point, I had been talking to the father in law and he had the same problem so ended up looking at solutions.
But, one massive difference is he doesn't have a combi boiler, so he does need to control when hot water comes on. With a combi it doesn't make sense having a schedule as...
We currently have a Netatmo Smart Thermostat and a combi boiler, we have also invested in smart valves for each room. This thermostat has no control off the hot water, just central heating.
We are now going through a building extension and need to upgrade the boiler, Netatmo have a new smart...
I have a manhole cover on my drive and the concrete around the edge is starting to crumble. Or car good over this cover on a regular basis.
My gut is telling me to get this replaced sooner rather than later, the crumbling is only going to get worse. But am I just being really cautious and it'll...
