    Remeha Avanta water leak

Well I've been bad on many occasions then, while fitting an outside temperature sensor and messing around with the diagnostics port. TBH I can't find anything in the manual, or on the panel itself, that says the front panel shouldn't be removed for safety reasons, although there is a standard...

    Remeha Avanta water leak

Gosh, that's a great story :) I'm in S London and I don't think there's been any major work on the mains locally. I hope it is a perished O Ring, but I'm not going to do anything till I hear back about the warranty.

    Remeha Avanta water leak

Great thought, I'll check out about the warranty, I don't want to void that by doing a repair myself. Maybe I'm showing ignorance, but how does dirt cause one bit of brass screwed into another bit of brass to start leaking? And, come to that, what sort of dirt gets into the DHW part of a...

    Remeha Avanta water leak

    Weather compensation DIY outdoor sensor

fantastic, thanks very much to you both. That's a much more sensible price than I'd found, so I'll go with that and avoid all the calibration issues I was talking myself into.

    Weather compensation DIY outdoor sensor

I have a gas CH boiler capable of weather compensation. The official Remeha outdoor sensor costs upwards of £70, while one for an Ideal boiler costs more like £25. I'm tempted... but then on Ebay an indoor/outdoor thermometer with LCD display and all sorts of bells and whistles costs under...

    Capping CH pipes

I want to permanently remove a radiator, together with the run of polypipe back to the previous rad in the system. At some point in the future I'm likely to want to put in a new rad in the room next door. So I'm thinking if I push say 3m of capped off poly under the floor I'll make that...
