Just dropping off final cleaned schema that I'm going to go with for the people that will be potentially looking at this thread. Thanks for all your help.

    Hive to Potterton 28 wiring

Yeah but I can hook it up to the L&N from the boiler right(as on the schema)? That's what I was hoping and seems like @Chris_W confirmed.

    Hive to Potterton 28 wiring

Ah. Sorry I thought that by saying it's wrong you've said it's all wrong, my mistake. I will then patiently wait till it arrive and hook it up like on 1st diagram, minus the lime link. Do I remove those additional cables 1&2 from terminal block?

    Hive to Potterton 28 wiring

Cool. That's what I was hoping for. Will not put lime link wire in. And piggybacking Live & Neutral from boiler seems like an easy-win. Two questions over here though. 1) ianmcd says that's wrong, like I've mentioned I'm amateurish so I was wondering why was that? 2) I presume that I take off...

looking for a new alarm (hijack split off)

Is there a way to poll Texecom alerts manually and send them via own method? If better not to go with this route, is there any other kit similar as outlined above that I should consider?

looking for a new alarm (hijack split off)

So in theory I've read on Texe website that those PIRs should cope with a pets that are up to 35kgs with 2 pulses(whatever it means) and with smaller animals with one pulse. I'm quite worried about that comwifi module though, hence the question :(

I will quietly sneak into your topic as I'm seeking for and advice as well. Currently we have galaxy le sucre(old adt installation, that we're ditching), and we're looking for something that would: * be pet friendly(cat + golden retriver) * be wireless * could send notifications via gsm/wifi/lan...
