I will do it last and run fast ;)
Does vinyl need underlay? And expansion gaps?
You're a life saver. Not done laminate before so will save lots of time!
Cheers
The cheap stuff is only 2mm thick will that be strong enough for a heavy traffic area like a kitchen?
The expensive stuff is £50psm and I really don't want to spend that much!
That's what the plasterer said but then he said it's drying quickly so not needed.
Won't drying it too quickly with heat and / or dehumidifier cause it to crack?
Looking to fit laminate flooring once the kitchen goes in but I want to leave enough gap for the plinth to sit on top of the laminate and dont really fancy cutting it lengthways afterwards.
Laminate is 8mm plus 3mm for the dual underlay / damp proof sheeting. So an additional 11mm.
What would...
Hi folks, had kitchen plastered and it was finished on two weeks ago this Friday.
Most of it has turned pinkish and there's a few brown patches left.
Have used heating to speed up the process as well as ventilate the room but it feels like it's taking ages.
Need to paint then fit kitchen...
You don't need full PP. It's within PD rights unless you're building a huge structure.

You can also have a kitchen and bathroom within it as long as it's incidental / ancillary use to the main house. You will only...
Insulating a house is very counterproductive. Your house will be a sauna in the summer months!!
If heat pumps use the heat in air, how on earth will they heat a house when the outside temp is 5 or -5???
We don't use heating when it's 20c outside, we use heating when it's colder.
Seriously...
Since heat pumps work on drawing in hot air / heat from air, how do they work in winter months when it's cold outside? ;
From my understanding they will not warm a house up or they will be ineffective due to the low temperature outside?
Yes we're told to insulate homes better but that's...
Doesn't pipe swagging thin the pipe at a certain section.
It's an old pipe.
Heat up the pipe before hammering in the swagging tool? Won't that make the tool stick to the pipe?
Hi all bit of a dilemma.
Cut a pipe with a multi tool as there was no room for a pipe slice or a hack saw. The pipe has gone oval shape for one reason or another.
It's in a tight location (so can't use adjustable spanner to reshape) and access to the rest of the pipe is hidden in and would be...
When you guys refer to dates is that for medicines or bandages etc or both?
I know this is extreme but I'd consider a tourniquet and aluminium blankets as when working with electric saws you don't know when the worst can happen and it's essential to keep any cut off limbs warm for any chance...
