I have a plumber friend come and look at it. He is unfamiliar with this model of Vaillant. Anyway he found a drain nipple at the top and drained out a bucket of water there was according to him no air coming out with the water. Now on switching on the entire sytem is dead not a sound - no fan -...
Thanks.
hello, Just out of curiosity if you have air in the heat exchanger how does that affect the burner firing? Is there some pressure sensor in the exchanger?
I have one of these which has worked well for years. Some time ago just about everything except for the pump and heat exchanger was replaced. Today I noticed the boiler needed topping up and I did so to around 1 bar.
I then found the automatic air vent was dripping. I took it off and tried...
I have discovered that on the circuit board are a series of switches and one of those has fallen off. It will not go back on and so I need a repair to the circuit board.
Thanks I have looked at the sensor for the filter and it seems to be a black plastic device fed by two thin white wires. I have no idea how that works and have considered disconnecting it. The door lock sensor is connected to a black wire and seems to work well. It is baffling.
I recently did a thorough clean of the filter on Indesit IDVL75BR(UK).
Now on switching on the machine the red filter light stays on and the machine will not run.
I am fed up as I simply cannot fix it.
Any ideas?
I am downsizing and so reluctant to get a new one.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
I have a shed roof with felt on it but would like to add some form of adhesive up under the felt between the nails using a mastic gun and nozzle. Any ideas what adhesive I can use that comes in tubes I can fit in a mastic gun?
Thanks for that I will investigate. At the last service the GR man was in awe and told me that these early combi boilers were really solid and advanced for the time of manufacture. Apparently he had been a Vaillant engineer back in the 1980/90 era and knew them very well. On No service engineer...
Thanks interesting viewpoint. I know for a fact that there never was a hot water cylinder as the property was built in April/May 1991 and boiler fitted in July 1991.
