Hi
I have to re lay some pipes in the ground floor slab in a new location and damage to the DPM has occured. It will not be possible to join a new piece of DPM to the old piece. Can I get some sort of waterproof paint or coating to put on the newly exposed concrete prior to re screeding
Or...

Both really. Hot and cold water and central heating pipes. Not to concerned about gas as mine is all above ground once inside.
Basically my central heating pipes are in the floor in my house. They look like they were lagged with a fiberglass type material prior to burying. We have had...
3 Questions
1, If i use plastic pipe for my new downstaris radiators, what is the correct method of instaling a the"T" junctions on the flow and return. The pipes will be in the screed?
2, My understanding is that with copper no compression joints are allowed underfloor. is this the same for...
Sorry hadnt finished. This all just seems to defy the laws of physics. Ayway thank you all for your kind help.
I am about to embark on the project of changing the cylinder for a coil type so wish me luck.
Effectively the shower takes both of its supplies from the cold tank except that one goes through the hot water cylinder first. There is no direct feed from the main that i can find to anywhere on the hotwater side of things. there are isolators on both hot and cold for the shower It says...
Sorry guys
No mixers, power shower installed but this takes cold water from the storage tank. Knew this might be risky with a primatic tank but it has been fine for over 18 months. Central heating has always been pumped and is set to slowest speed. Water is i bit dirty but only for a short...
Strange cos thats what I thought at first but defo no mains feed anywhere near the heating / hot water. hot water is rising up the feed pipe so i guess this is the old theory of heat rising. Also it is not enough to cause it to rise through the proper hot water exit / vent pipe.
Cheers guys.
I was hoping to not have to change the cylinder as I can see it ending up with the whole system needing to be changed. And yes it is the water storage tank not a true header tank.
Will it be the inner cylinder that has coroded thus not maintaining the air bubble?
Hello and help please.
My header tank has been continually overflowing. After much observation i have discovered that water is flowing back up the pipe that fills the cylinder. It is also warm. How can this happen and can I cure it with your help. I have drained down the complete system rads...
