    Heatslave 2 hive single channel

It does seem to be something that a jumper could solve rather than jamming multiple wires into single wire terminals. Heating now fires! I think I’m correct in restoring the factory link from boiler L to boiler LR tap.

    Heatslave 2 hive single channel

Ah I see. Thank you. So do I restore the link between L and LR (tap) on the boiler?

    Heatslave 2 hive single channel

Thanks @ianmcd ! So the common isn’t used on the boiler side?

Is this what I need to do?

    Heatslave 2 hive single channel

Hi all Looking for some advice in connecting a hive single channel to a new heatslave ii. Everywhere I look suggests the common (black) should connect to ‘LS’ which I don’t have. If I connect to LR water, nothing happens. Do I need a jumper between common and live? Thank you

    Replacement boiler, hybrid or woodburner

Well I think time has finally come to admit defeat with the heatslave… (the highs and lows of my posts may make for a funny read one day). Multiple people have looked at it and can’t get a stable burn out of it. So I’m looking at replacements like-for-like but also considering a hybrids like...

    Heatslave 12/18 ignition fire cycle

just a quick update. Managed to get a number for a well recommended local engineer. After a bit of head scratching he found the burner gasket was missing and the condensate trap was full of debris (probably from when it was over fuelling a year or so ago). He tightened the burner up (I’ll...

    Heatslave 12/18 ignition fire cycle

Limped it along yesterday between other commitments but it’s back to the fire ignition cycle for a while before kicking in properly. I’ll have to check flue manifold tonight after work. I thought the bypass had corrected it for the short term but I think it’s another problem. Muggles, you...

    Heatslave 12/18 ignition fire cycle

Morning all. Thank you for the responses. I have a new capacitor turning up Monday so will fit that. In the meantime I disconnected the air feed from the flue and let it draw from the room. Fire, ignition cycle seems to have stopped which is a step forward. The boiler still has my original...

    Heatslave 12/18 ignition fire cycle

After a brief success with the boiler it’s thrown up another issue. During this cold snap the boiler fires up briefly, burns and then about about a minute it goes back to ignition stage. The cycle carries on; ignition, fire, ignition, fire… until I’ve had enough and shut it down. Oil flow seems...

    Dry tiger loop

Bit of an update. The boiler worked intermittently for the rest of the year. Because of other factors I didnt get a chance to get to the boiler - just nursing it along. Anyway, Thursday morning we woke up freezing. Friday I couldn’t get the thing restarted and the pump was making a horrible...

    Dry tiger loop

Thank you everyone for your responses! A lot to read up on. I think I’m going to buy a few lengths of 10mm copper and replace everything from the tank to the flexi. If nothing else, it’ll be a neater job. Very interesting to read about the positioning of the TL outside and the height in...

    Dry tiger loop

Hi John Do you mean the fuel feed after the loop? Between the pump and the loop?

    Dry tiger loop

Thanks both. With regards to the loop should it be like the old one on the wall? I have noticed it smells a lot more of kero since these works were done. It’s an out building so I haven’t really worried about it. When I use the wet vac it just pulls it straight through. The loop stays empty. I...
