    Sorry this is related to a previous question I've asked. I'm going to cover the flooring downstairs in my house with 6mm plyboard sheets,prior to carpeting, should I leave any expansion gaps between each sheet?? If so how big should the gaps be? :? :oops:

    Cheers for the Gripfill solution. The thing is I've got the plyboard as I was told it was stronger and youdidn't have to wet it before hand as with the hardboard. Are oval wire nails ok? :oops:

    I'd get killed for creating so much dust in the house. :wink: apart from that there are quite sme gaps between old and new floorboards, which would come through in the carpet me thinks.

    These may seem like silly question. My downstairs floorboards are uneven, so I'm going to use 6mm plyboard to level them out. a) What nails do I use? b) How do I fix it to the concrete flooring around the fireplaces It would be most appreciated. :oops:
