    Insulation in frame formed house.

I dont think its built into the slab and another point I should have made is that a neighbour has done theirs. The waste pipe was in but it was beneath 50mm foil faced insulation. It is basically the same house so I dont understand the difference. Thanks for the reply. Ray

    Flow rate from tap...too fast

I would agree with Kev. Fit a couple of service valves to the hot and cold feeds under the sink. Then shut both of these valves off.Open up the kitchen tap, say cold side only, fully open and then open up the cold service valve till your happy with the flow rate. Do the same with the hot :)

    Cylinder drain valve

Yup, no need to change it if it works fine. When you have finished draining and you close the valve, just give the nut underneath a tighten up 8)

    Toilet Removal

If you can see the fitting the pipe goes into ( like a t-piece or elbow) then you can pull out the bit of pipe and put in the 4" cap or access eye.if you cant see the fitting then you can get a rubber type cap that goes into the pipe itself, basically just ask for a 4" cap that goes into the...

    Toilet Removal

Yes you can get caps that go into the pipe to seal it...or for a temp. method you can put a plastic bag over it and tape it up...job done!

    Cylinder drain valve

Hi, Yes you loosen that nut. What it basically does is pull the gland down tight when you close it. When i have come across these I have had to loosen the nut (dont remove it) then give the valve a tap on the underside (in other words..tap the nut up).I would also remove the handle and use an...

Tiling on ply floor (frame formed house)

I never saw it put down, I presume they are insulated panels and they are about 8'x2' , whereas the upstairs are 8'x4'. I really do not want to take them up as I havent gone through the 12 months defects with the builders yet. Regards

Tiling on ply floor (frame formed house)

Sure, here are a couple including the downstairs cloakroom.I was just looking through a few previous photos I had taken and looking closely it seems as though the very top floor was screwed. Its a 3 storey townhouse type building. As for the springiness, in some places it can be as...
