I would agree with Kev. Fit a couple of service valves to the hot and cold feeds under the sink.Then shut both of these valves off.Open up the kitchen tap, say cold side only, fully open and then open up the cold service valve till your happy with the flow rate. Do the same with the hot :)

Yup, no need to change it if it works fine.When you have finished draining and you close the valve,just give the nut underneath a tighten up 8)

If you can see the fitting the pipe goes into ( like a t-piece or elbow) then you can pull out the bit of pipe and put in the 4" cap or access eye.if you cant see the fitting then you can get a rubber type cap that goes into the pipe itself, basically just ask for a 4" cap that goes into the...

Yes you can get caps that go into the pipe to seal it...or for a temp. method you can put a plastic bag over it and tape it up...job done!
