    Outside lights via junction boxes

Hi. Currently have one outside light that has an outside switch fed from the boiler fused spur (see photos). can this be converted using outside junction boxes and conduit so that I can have 3 lights at various positions (see photos). I naturally understand that this is probably a job for an...

    Moving a radiator

Hi. In the process of changing bedroom around and want to move radiator from bottom of bed to outside wall, either in corner or under the window. Can the feed pipes go along the top of the skirting board rather than having to take the carpet and floorboards up. Is that ok as a permanent...

    Extending garage

Hi Viewing a house on Friday that I am quite interested in buying. Currently has a single garage at bottom of garden and am wondering how hard it would be to get someone to extend it into a double width as there is space in garden next to it. Would have it with a single double width roller...

Wouldn’t be on all the time, would just mainly be used in the summer as the evening gets dusk to sit outside for a...

    Spur socket advice

Thanks guys. what do I do with the redundant coaxial wire ? Is it safe to leave it in the wall void as not sure it can come out completely? As a bare wire or does it need to be capped off ?

    Spur socket advice

Hi. Thanks for that. What are the benefits of having it on the ring, rather than having it as a spur ? The reason I was hoping to have it as a socket is that I use smart plugs to turn things on and off via Alexa. So in this instance I could say “Alexa, turn on back garden lights”, which may...

    Spur socket advice

Hi. I would like add an additional double socket in my lounge as a spur off of my current one. I have an unused coaxial tv socket next to it which would be an ideal location as this will never be used in the future. I would be getting an electrician to do this, but what do I get him to do with...

    Integrated Dishwasher

Would a good kitchen fitter/plumber be able to do this fairly easily ? I obviously want the kitchen to look nice but don’t want to wreck what’s already there !

    Integrated Dishwasher

Yeah was planning to remove cupboard as you say. It’s not a corner cupboard as the one under the sink is the corner one. It is a stand-alone single cupboard. I’m hoping plumbing and electric socket is still there as apparently that is where the washing machine was in original kitchen.
