Hello, Not actually sure what this material is but it's been glued down and taking it all off would take days of seriously hard graft. Hoping I would be able to tile straight over top of it? It's on top of a concrete floor so not keen on ply. Any thoughts? Cheers.

Thanks all for the responses. Yeah I suppose the shower could go on the other end mounted on the main wall. Dunno if that's ideal but worth a think. Reducing the size of the window would be ideal but I don't have the budget for that :( I was thinking that maybe a 4-way 'folding' hinged...
