Tiling over lino/vinyl?

Hello,

Not actually sure what this material is but it's been glued down and taking it all off would take days of seriously hard graft.

Hoping I would be able to tile straight over top of it? It's on top of a concrete floor so not keen on ply.

Any thoughts?

If the vinyl tiles are securely/firmly glued down, tiling over them should not be a problem.

You would need to latex screed over these first as the adhesive won't stick to good to the vinyl tiles and would lead to problems down the line
