Hi. It's my first time on here. I have old (but in fairly good nick) lino/vinyl tiles in the kitchen. I hate the thought of trying to get them all up and have no idea what the state of the floor will be underneath. I want to lay cork tiles. I've read that you shouldn't lay cork tiles on top of lino, but I want to understand why. Is it because the vinyl isn't porous enough for the adhesive to work properly? Would scoring the lino help? Thanks in advance for any info or advice.
