    Grohe Toilet Mains Connection

Hi all, I'm fitting a Grohe wall hung toilet and the little tap they supplied that sits between the mains and the fill valve is confusing me.... See the picture but it says in the manual "connect to the mains without a seal" What connection do I need? I assumed I would connect the 2 with a...

    Soil pipe slope

Thanks for the comments. The relationship went sour with the builder at the end because we made him repair\replace broken stuff. Otherwise, I would definitely have him back. That said, if this is going to be a major pain then we will have to get him back. Currently, its wooden floorboards...

    Soil pipe slope

Hi, Our builder installed a soil pipe for our toilet but the pipe slopes towards the toilet. The pipe needs to be trimmed a little but will be around 15 inches long before it hits a 90 degree bends outside. To make the spirit level, level, I need to raise it around 8mm. I know this isn't...

Type of sealant and how to remove it

Evening, I had to pull off some trim around our windows but the fitters have used a sealant I've not really come across and need to remove it. Its hard, solid in fact and well stuck on, nothing seems to get it off. Is there anything I can do apart from hacking it off with a blade? Thanks

    Finishing wall to door liner

Thanks for the reply! You can't seem to buy these blocks anymore, they're really slim (like 2.5" thick). I wasn't sure if just shoving a brick in there with some mortar would hold up in the door slamming regions

    Finishing wall to door liner

Evening all, We brought forward the bathroom entrance but not too sure what is the best way to finish the wall next to the door lining? I do have a few of the grey bricks left which I could cut to a better fit but that still leaves me with some holes. Photo attached. Thanks

    1950's skinny walls

Thanks for the replies! To be honest, getting rid of the whole wall would be my ideal (heavy wall on also skinny floor joints) but it’s still very solid and the gap I need to fill is only 1-ish brick wide, so would feel like a lot more work to remove completely. Would I need to seal the end of...

    1950's skinny walls

Evening, We've just bought our 1950's house and I'm in the process of removing a chimney breast but the side of the chimney breast was acting as part of my bedroom wall. Didnt think much of it until I started looking for replacement blocks and cant find 65mm thick blocks anywhere! They're are...
