    Flat roof leaking

About 10 years but it's in good condition. No peeling anywhere, just looks like the join to the brick work. It's just the felt no flashband.

    Flat roof leaking

That's a bit extreme for a small isolated leak isn't it.

    Flat roof leaking

Kitchen extension has a felt flat roof, and during the recent storms it leaked. It came in along the house wall so im guessing its leaking where the felt is against the wall. My plan is to give it a good clean then paint with flashband primer, followed by some flash band tape, plus get some...

    Flow/Return Thermistor Fault.

I'm wondering from experience this fault occurs where a bypass isn't working or such. If it is I might be able to change some settings in evohome or the trvs that keeps a couple open a little bit. Or just give the auto bypass a quarter turn open. You know rather than book a day off work for them...

    Flow/Return Thermistor Fault.

Had this for the second time now. Pressing restart gets it working. I have contacted the installer as well but im wondering if it could be something simple. The installer asked if i had a bypass radiator and was it fully open. Which i dont have as that would defeat the point of Evohome, i do...

Filling chases when time is very tight

Easi-fill is what you want. They do a 60min, 45min and 20 min version. Can go on really thick as well. But best to do a few coats, very easy to sand but dusty.

Plastering over artex, is this the expected finish?

Yes it may, i just stick my goggles and dust mask on.

Plastering over artex, is this the expected finish?

As a diyer my process is to knock off the worst of the spikes. Apply plaster bonding agent, coat of bonding plaster then a skim with multi finish. Usually happy with that but i then might go over any rough bits with easi fill.

    Low spot on gutter, Manchester

I hope your joking regards the ladder. Surely it's not much more difficult than cleaning the gutters. So do I have to unclipped the gutter or something then unscrew lift then screw it back.

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

Not had ours done yet, its an old 1/2" copper pipe by the look of it, maxes out at 14lpm. Going to see how the new shower via the combi does before spending on it.

    Low spot on gutter, Manchester

Okay, how do you fix a sagging gutter then. I'm not even sure how the brackets attach to the fascia boards, do they just screw into the plastic or do they fix to something behind.

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

I was given a rough quote over the phone of around £600-£900 for about 6 meters of 25mm. This included connection to the main in the street.

    Low spot on gutter, Manchester

I have one bit of gutter that overflows when it rains. It holds water so its definitely a low spot around the bay window, right on the corner where it sticks out. Anyone in and around Manchester that can come and fix it. Its not something i can be bothered doing myself at the minute i would...

    Chasing a brick wall.

All houses should have access like that. Im putting in two lots of 32mm conduit for the flow and return, two lots of 25mm for the cold and hot water. 1 32mm for network cables, plus a spare 32 and 25 for future use.

New water mains pipe or accumulator in Potters Bar, Herts Update 11/9

As far as i know the static pressure will be the same, its only flow that will increase.
