    Leaking Radiator

Good Morning, I have two radiators in my living room one of which is leaking. I've checked for water on the valve but this is dry. Where it appears to be wet is the pipe coming up from the floor. It's saturated the carpet in the vicinity and the pipe is now rusting which is turning the...

    2 Speed Grundfos Super 4

Hopefully someone can help. Have a Glow Worm Micron 60FF boiler with the above pump upstairs. Last few days the pump has been overheating and, at times, making a really loud squeeling noise. At times although the heating is set to 'on' the radiators haven't been getting warm. It was like...

    Potential Disaster - Electric Shower

After removing our existing wooden bath panel on Sunday I found an old curtain had been scrunched up and placed behind the panel. Strange I thought as I had not seen this before. Stranger still underneath the curtain to my horror was a live electric socket which powers the shower...

    Hot Water - Bath

Neither. We have kept the bath and taps but have just re-tiled the bathroom after having taken the previous lot of tiles off the walls then re-plastered. I have had this problem for a while now and it's really bugging me. Thanks

    Hot Water - Bath

The house was built in the 1960's so it's a good 50 ish years old now. The more work we do to it the more we realise how corners have been cut! So the consensus seems to be blending valve? I need to put a panel back on the bath after the tiler has finished so is it worth getting this...

Gloworm Micron 60ff. Recently changed the thermocouple on the water heater and also installed a new PCB on the boiler. Our shower is electric and this is uneffected.

    Hot Water - Bath

We have struggled recently to get a steady flow of hot water from the tap of my bath. I've had to resort to a running the hot bath tap at a trickle to get the water hot enough to have a bath in. The problem does not exist downstairs as the water from the kitchen sink flows strongly and get's...

Gloworm 60ff Micron - Possible Pump Problem?

Another bit of info. I bled the bathroom rad, the one that hadn't worked for months, whilst the CH was on. The more I read it's becoming apparent that this was a bad idea? Do I need to put pressure back in my boiler? Perhaps this may explain why my boiler would not even ignite this evening?

Gloworm 60ff Micron - Possible Pump Problem?

Thanks fella's. I just took the front off the pump and it's still spinning? Today it got red hot and was squealing. Does this mean it has been pumping air rather than water? It seems strange that I bled my bathroom radiator yesterday which hadn't worked for months and then today the...

Gloworm 60ff Micron - Possible Pump Problem?

Recently had to install a new pcb for my boiler as the other packed in. Heating has run like a dream until today when the Grundfos two speed Super 4 pump upstairs is making an odd whiring & squeeling sound. The heating was set to come on this afternoon at 4 but the burner on the Gloworm is...
