Ive got the ardex for this job, about to start it in next week or so. The ardex instructions say its only to be used 30mm deep when mixed with aggregate? I know you said 6inchs in 1 go is ok but just double checking. How long would it take at 6inch depth to before i can lay carpet back down?

What's the reason for not just using normal concrete after the dpm? Is it the possibility of damp issues?

Cheers I had a look round at Screwfix etc for alternatives as easier to get to but with go with your suggestion and just get it delivered

Is there a max thickness I can lay the ardex or can I do the 6 inches in one go?

Looking at it again, it looks like the plastic floor membrane runs up to the inner wall skin of concrete blocks (where the crack in floor is) Could I take up the thin screed layer and paint a liquid dpc up to the door?
