    New Roof

I have to have a complete new roof on my 1920's semi and have asked for a few estimates. What are the main considerations/questions I should ask as I don't want to make my decision based on price alone, obviously. Also would it be wise to have a skylight fitted? When I asked one of the...

Solar Panel vs standard electric supply for garden

Has anyone any experience of Solar Panels? I want a greenhouse/shed 50-60 feet away from the house and have been told that it will be very expensive to have electricity laid that far away from the house. Would a solar panel be a viable option? Would it be any cheaper and would it provide...

I have a 28i and there is a flexi hose under the boiler linking two pipes with a tap at each end of the flexi hose. I open both taps and watch the pressure dial closing them when the pressure rises enough. (On mine it's between 1.5 and 2)

Can anyone help me, my toilet cistern continues filling up over the top of the overflow outlet pipe and doesn't cut out filling for about five minutes. The ballcock lifts when it should but the flow doesn't stop for several minutes of pouring through the overflow. How does the raising ballcock...
