I want to replace a fluorescent strip light which has already been removed. The first picture shows the wiring left after removing the light. One of the wires goes back to the fuse box in the second picture, and the other wire goes back to the light switch in the same picture. How do I connect...

    Vaillant boiler leak

Fitting 1 dimmer switch for 2 lights

My lounge has 2 lights controlled by 1 switch. I want to replace the current switch for a dimmer, but I'm a bit confused by the wiring after opening up the mounting box. There are 2 brown wires connected to L1. Do I simply reconnect the dimmer in the same way? Ideally I'd like to be able...

Fitting a blanking plate on a double socket

Yes, in the process of turning the room into a nursery. The cot is up against a wall and directly in front of said electrical socket, hence the need to fit the blanking plate.

Fitting a blanking plate on a double socket

Thanks. Only 1 earth wire present I think, just hook it up to a terminal block?

Fitting a blanking plate on a double socket

I need to remove the faceplate of a double socket and replace with a blanking plate. I'm not sure what to do with the wires - do I connect them to terminal blocks or join them together as advised in similar threads elsewhere on here? I've attached a photo with the faceplate off: Thanks in...
