Hi, to cut a long story short, we rented a hot tub recently and the guy setting it up connected something like this to my kitchen tap to connect a hose and fill it with warm water:
Hot tub guy removed the black part from our kitchen tap:
And screwed the adapter into here, which has a 15mm...
My in-laws returned home after a few weeks away to find the boiler had lost pressure, which has happened in the past a couple of times. The boiler was re-pressured but water started leaking from the top of the expansion vessel. It appears to have stopped now but obviously somethings not right...
Yep all working ok. Really grateful for your advice, the 1 switch controlling 2 lights at either end of the room had bugged me since we moved in. All good now though :)
My lounge has 2 lights controlled by 1 switch. I want to replace the current switch for a dimmer, but I'm a bit confused by the wiring after opening up the mounting box.
There are 2 brown wires connected to L1. Do I simply reconnect the dimmer in the same way? Ideally I'd like to be able...
Yes, in the process of turning the room into a nursery. The cot is up against a wall and directly in front of said electrical socket, hence the need to fit the blanking plate.
I need to remove the faceplate of a double socket and replace with a blanking plate. I'm not sure what to do with the wires - do I connect them to terminal blocks or join them together as advised in similar threads elsewhere on here? I've attached a photo with the faceplate off:
Thanks in...
ok, thanks for your advice, much appreciated :)
Silly question, how is the condensation being absorbed into the wall? Is it condensing on the sill on the inside? Apologies for being so clueless.
I'm wondering if they intentionally didn't install trickle vents as we're next to a busy road and noise would be an issue? Leaving them ajar would be a bit of a nightmare noise wise, it's bad enough when they're closed :(
