Yes, in the process of turning the room into a nursery. The cot is up against a wall and directly in front of said electrical socket, hence the need to fit the blanking plate.

ok, thanks for your advice, much appreciated :) Silly question, how is the condensation being absorbed into the wall? Is it condensing on the sill on the inside? Apologies for being so clueless.

I'm wondering if they intentionally didn't install trickle vents as we're next to a busy road and noise would be an issue? Leaving them ajar would be a bit of a nightmare noise wise, it's bad enough when they're closed :(
