Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

When shower pump is ON the problem occurs, so thus only when hot.... Don't know why this would affect the vent pipe though.

Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

water is coming from the vent - and then i presume water is entering via the 2 outlets at the bottom of te tank, hence the watwer not getting to overflow level in the cold water tank.

Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

Hi again, thanks all for replying The vent pipe is over the large tank, the cold water tank that supplies the hot water cylinder and bathroom cold taps. The vent pipe, that u bends over the tank is spilling water.

Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

i heard about this potential problem, but surely the water would go into the cold water tank via the cold feed to the hot water cylinder and not over the vent pipe?

Noisy pump 10 mins after water has come on

have you turned the boiler stat down? maybe the water is not circulating through the boiler fast enough and causing the sounds. try your pump speed up a bit? also, is the pump sounding kind of off balance at all??
