Cold water tank in loft - vent pipe expelling water

the shower is fed from cold from the tank and hot from the cylinder though not by mains.

Samday, just jesting, get a plumber in pronto to sort out shower.

Always give as much info about a problem, tis difficult to diagnose otherwise, there are alot of things that can affect a system often giving the same symptom, post as much detail as you can.

i have noticed now it only happens when the shower pump is on if that matters?
What's the make and model of the shower pump?

when cold it does not happen.
When what is cold?

I have a stone in front of that I've squeezed until it bleeds, but after three pages we're hardly any closer to getting the full story from you.

When shower pump is ON the problem occurs, so thus only when hot....

Don't know why this would affect the vent pipe though.

I give in. I stilll don't know what is hot, but it hardly matters now.

Your plumber will explain. There's no hope of you doing the job yourself because explaining to you how to do it would take more time than there is left in the universe.

the shower pump is salamander. sorry, don't mean to make you mad. thanks for your help.

I'm not mad, couldn't say the same for Goldberg  It's just youve been a little scant on the details. Does your pump have four pipes or two?

 I got cross eyed reading this  Shower pump incorrectly fitted to cylinder/outlet. Pulls water out -vent level drops- pump stops/stutters/draws air. -Column of water in vent surges up + out ....Like the Meerkat says .....Simple 8)
