    Extractor fan question

It is a reputable company, I don't think there has been any inspection or sign off by the council. I am just trying to find out if external venting is a regulation requirement before I go back to the builder. I get my UK vs USA regulations mixed up.

    Extractor fan question

Hi guys, a quick question about the rules for extractor fans. My parents just had a bathroom remodel which included a new extractor fan. I just noticed that the fan only has a short bit of flexible hose lying on the loft floor, it is not vented to outside. I thought that the fan had to be vented...

Leaking mdpe pipe at compression fitting

Well spotted Jim, thanks! For some reason I recalled it was a Plasson one.

Leaking mdpe pipe at compression fitting

Thanks for the responses, they were really helpful. So the new blue pipe is the wrong diameter, luckily I've found a bit of old black pipe to replace it with. I also think that the stopcock is the wrong size, it's for 25mm pipe. The manufacturer makes adaptors, so hopefully they work with this...

Leaking mdpe pipe at compression fitting

Hi, I need some advice about a leak. I recently had a leak from the underground stop cock for mains water, so replaced it with a new one. The problem I have now is that the mdpe pipe is quite loose at the compression tee, I can't get the nut to tight enough for the olive to clamp properly on the...

    Help with automatic bypass valve

HI, sorry for the slow response. It is a Trianco Eurotrader 90 oil fired boiler. I was told that building regs now demanded an ABV. I do have TRVs all round, but plan to remove the one in the room with the thermostat.

    Help with automatic bypass valve

Hi everyone, I have just fitted an ABV to my heating system to replace an old manual gate valve, but when I contacted the boiler manufacturer, Trianco, to ask what the minimum flow requirement for the boiler is, they told me that they could not find this information. So I wanted to ask you...

What is the name of the plan I have?

Thanks for the replies. I have a fully pumped system with a timer, but no thermostat. It is a small house so a s-plan would be sufficient. Apart from the independent control over the HW and a thermostat, is there any real advantage or economy saving that makes the update to a s-plan worthwhile?

What is the name of the plan I have?

Hi all, Can someone please tell me what the opposite of a c-plan is called? My system only has a 2 port motorised valve on the CH side, there is nothing on the HW side. The zone valve has packed in so I am thinking about converting to a S or Y plan.
